T53 - 2005 Peace Tax Return

The organisation – "conscience" campaigns for the legal right for those, who

have a conscientious objection to war, to have the military part of their taxes spent

on peace -building initiatives.

Some people choose to withhold the military portion of their taxes until they have been assured that it will not be spent on the military. These people are usually prosecuted and occasionally sent to prison. "Conscience" aims to support and publicize the cases of those who resist war taxes in this way.

Their website www.conscienceonline.org.uk gives you the chance to fill in a 2005 Peace Tax Return.

It is not an official Inland Revenue form but "Conscience" believe it should be one page of the official Inland Revenue Tax Return - they've even designed it to look like an official page.

They suggest making a declaration every financial year by completing a Peace Tax Return and posting it, if you object to wars.

This form is for anyone with a moral or religious objection to military spending, on grounds of conscience, who wishes to declare their objection to the UK Government. It is suitable for employed and unemployed people, students, pensioners, in fact everyone who objects to paying for war.

We take great pride in our service, and would be delighted to invite you for a free 1 hour, no obligation meeting at our comfortable offices. Simply call us  on 020 8346 0391 to arrange a mutually convenient time.
