T1 - Inland revenue Announcement

The Inland Revenue announced in late May four statutory instruments on employment-related benefits, which came into effect on 12 June 2003.

The first sees the tax-free allowance for work parties double from £75 to £150 per head.

The others include an increase in the exemption for long service awards from £20 to £50, and an increase in respect of small gifts from third parties from £150 to £250.
